What does MEGRA stand for?
MEGRA (Middle European Organisation for Regulatory Affairs) is a registered non-profit association founded in 1988. The members are regulatory experts for medicinal products (human and veterinarian), medical devices and diagnostics working in the pharmaceutical industry or in regulatory authorities in Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
MEGRA supports the networking activities in the different fields of regulatory affairs, quality management, pharmacovigilance and other related areas. Furthermore, MEGRA supports the daily work of their members with extensive education, specific training courses and workshops.
With the dissemination of the fundamentals of regulatory affairs in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and in the European Union MEGRA reinforces the job profile of a "Specialist in Regulatory Affairs".
Objectives: As a professional organisation MEGRA represents the interests of their members in the German speaking countries and in the European Union face to face with health authorities, regulatory affairs organisations and other organisations working in this area.
MEGRA offers special support:
Education: MEGRA offers comprehensive education for their members within specific training courses and workshops where representatives of national and European regulatory authorities share their experiences and expectations. Topics include authorization of medicinal products and medical devices, pharmacovigilance and training courses and workshops for qualified persons.
On a national level MEGRA organizes working groups and discussions for their local members. Non-members are welcome at MEGRA events, however members benefit from reduced fees.
